“Minding My Waste” Education Program Won Silver Stevie Award

 “Minding my Waste” education program, which has been jointly developed by Mind Your Waste Foundation and DP World Yarımca, won Silver Stevie Award of Corporate Social Responsibility in Europe in 2019.

The curriculum has been developed by Kocaeli University, Faculty of Education and approved by Governorship of Kocaeli and Provincial Directorate of National Education. The program consists of training of the trainers, namely 3rd grade teachers including in-class activities and exercises for students.  All activities are interactive and encourages active participation of the students, not as mere spectators but as actors. 

The participating children also played “Zero Waste” game, a board game specailly designed to create awareness among children while entertaining them. The game sessions have been moderated by corporate volunteers consisting of DP World Yarımca employees.
